2019 Klim Nac Pac Review

Over the past year, I have been using a USWE pack for dirt biking. This pack as been a good pack but is just a little to small for those all day rides.
It was time to buy something bigger.
Now USWE does make larger, roomier packs but I decided to try something different.
For those who aren’t familiar with Klim, Let me tell you, they make some quality gear.
Klim makes gear for dirt bikers, snowmobilers, and adventure biking.
The Klim Nac Pac is just that QUALITY built.

What can you fit in the KLIM Nac Pac?
I used this Nac Pac on a 4 day dirt biking trip in the mountains of Idaho. Here is the gear list of what I packed pretty much everyday.

I could have fit more. One of the really cold morning’s I wore 2 jersey’s to start with and when it can warmer I took of the jersey and put it in the pack.
It took me a minute to adjust all the straps to make sure that the 30 gas bottle fit correctly. Make sure that you secure it to your pack so it doesn’t bounce out.
The extra space between the outer compartment and the main compartment of the Klim Nac Pack is expandable and this is were I put the 30 oz gas bottle and the jersey. I could hav easily fit a bigger jacket in there or another gas bottle if needed.
I used the side shovel and probe straps to put my air pump and hand saw.
In the front with the well designed straps you have pockets on each side. I used these pockets to store my Iphone XR and extra battery for the GoPro.
I also had chap stick in there.
It comes with a goggle case with a rag to clean off your goggles. This hard case also doubled as a sandwich carrier as it won’t smash down.
So far the Klim Nac Pac is the best back pack for riding I have yet experienced.
Its really good compact but roomy.
The Nac Pac stays on your back and doesn’t flop around. It is easily adjustable for the perfect fit.
One of the issues with my USWE pack, was the front straps would climb up and rub on my neck.
The Klim Nac Pac’s straps are perfect. You forget its even there.
What are some downsides to the Klim Nac Pac?
I wish that the Klim Nac Pac would come with a water bladder….
*** NOTE Klim does offer a more expensive version that does include the water bladder
It doesn’t come with one…
You have to purchase one separately. I went with the bigger water bladder (100oz) from Klim.
When the water bladder was completely full I would have issues with leakage.
The hose when connected seem to not have enough room and it would leak right where the hose was connected to the bladder.
Later in the trip I kept adjusting the pack and finally got it to stop leaking.
Not a huge issue but just something to be aware of when fitting the pack with the larger water bladder.
Overall this is a home run from Klim….
